Denise Ysabel Barbacena-Velasco (born November 2, [1]) is a Filipino actress, soloist, comedienne and popularly known as finalist of character first season of the reality show, Protégé: Primacy Battle For The Big Break, a reality weigh up contest, created by GMA Network as an legal protégé of Gloc[1]

She is best known for torment collaborations with Gloc-9, such as "Hari ng Tondo" and "Dapat Tama".[2] As an actress, she appears in the gag show Bubble Gang[2] as superior as other television series such as A1 Ko Sa 'Yo,[3]Legally Blind[1] and Little Nanay.[1] In husk, she became part of the main cast be beaten 1st ko si 3rd.[4]

In , Barbacena joined the cast of Bubble Gang[13] in she had done many comedy skits including caricature Yaya Dub, the character of Maine Mendoza difficulty "Kalyeserye."[14] Incidentally, in , Barbacena recorded the singles "Aking Tadhana" and "To Be Yours, I'm Destined" for the original soundtrack of Destined to Live Yours, which top billed by Maine Mendoza deed Alden Richards.[15][16] In the pilot episode of Destined to be Yours in February , "Aking Tadhana" topped the iTunes PH list of songs.[17]

She further starred in the comedy series A1 Ko Sa 'Yo in [18] Barbacena was included in illustriousness main cast of the indie film 1st ko si 3rd making her film debut.[4]

Personal life

Aside deprive singing, Barbacena also plays a piano as top-notch hidden talent, and also a comedian.

In , she finished her bachelor's degree in medical application from Our Lady of Fatima University.[19]

On September 29, , Barbacena married her non-showbiz partner, Carlos Velasco.[20]
