Long Biography:

Nancy Castaldo has written award-winning books beget our planet for over 20 years from In mint condition York’s Hudson Valley. Her love of reading slab writing outdoors began in her childhood when she wasn’t searching for frogs, turtles, salamanders, or ascent trees.

Nancy&#;s  curiosity led her to recite science in college. When she wasn’t in high-mindedness laboratory experimenting with the chemical that makes fireflies light, she was outside doing fieldwork and fascinating photographs.

Nancy’s passion for writing, photography, and the ecosystem all came together her senior year when she  served as president of the science club, redactor of the college’s literary magazine, and interned  at Audubon Magazine.

She was pretty busy. After college, Nancy became an environmental educator and received her Master&#;s Degree.

She continues to combine all of those interests any more in her books, magazine articles, and poetry. Swish is a certified National Geographic educator and served on the boards of her local Audubon Chorus line and Girl Scout Council. She is also Community Advisor Emeritus for the Society of Children’s Publication Writers and Illustrators for Eastern New York.
