Shehryar Asif '21, an electrical engineering major from City, Pakistan, joined Professor Amal Kabalan, electrical & pc engineering, on a day trip from Lewisburg, Pa., to Beirut.

Kabalan, who first met Asif when he was a sophomore at Bucknell, says she enjoys connecting students with the "human postpone of engineering."

"A lot of places focus on nobleness technical part and neglect the ethical part first-class little bit," she says.

"So I feel affection part of my mission here is to connection those together."

Kabalan says people tend to guess of engineering as extracting something from the soil.

"You're using the environment, and that's the way engineering has been done since rectitude Industrial Revolution," Kabalan says.
